transmetropolitan

Spider Jerusalem lives in a love-hate relationship with the people of the city. The city if a futuristic cyberpunk. his is a strong and different character, he is not the typical character that you can find in some other book.
In this comic one can find what is cyberpunk.  the effect that technology will influence us in the future. when can also see who the middle class will be involved with technology, and how it is to live in a big city in the future.
One of Spider's characteristics is his rebellion against things. when I was rearing the comic i feel like spider did not care about anything. when The story starts when Spider was in alone in the mountains talking to someone. This part for me make was confusing because at that time I did not see any signs of cyberpunk until he enters the city. The character will introduces us to the city.
Cyberpunk often serves as a metaphor for current concerns about the effects and control of corporations over people, the corruption of governments, alienation and surveillance.

One of the things that I really like about this comic was the art. I really like the way that the use the composition. It makes the art more chaotic and it works well with the cyberpunk theme.

  1. I loved the art style of this graphic novel as well - the aesthetics worked really well with the subject matter. Spyder is very rebellious and I believe his rebellion is a huge part of his character. His rebellion and lack of care for the world makes Spyder a sort of anti-hero throughout the story.

A world without end

After the apocalypse that had just happened through an explosion of the cortex to the core, every trace of civilization had been exterminated from the earth. When scientists began experimenting with nuclear space science, they never imagined that their power could get out of hand. The few survivors of the catastrophe could not explain even how they managed to stand and unharmed when suddenly, volcanoes ceased their eruption. The oceans calmed their fury and the sky gradually turned blue. The survivors could not understand what was happening. The earth began to fill with vegetation in the blink of an eye. All the ruins were covered by leafy fruit trees. All the earth's resources were renewed and numerous and unknown species of animals began to populate the land in a matter of hours. The survivors had to start a new life again. A common feeling of happiness was felt in the air for this new opportunity that the earth gave them.

Annihilation Jeff Vandermeer

It is a futuristic science fiction book and is part of a trilogy. In the very beginning we are invaded by a sensation of fear of the unknown, because of the information that the biologist offers us. The first book is called "Annihilation", which takes place in Area X: a distant, hidden, and unknown place declared an environmental disaster area many years ago. This area has been devastated by pollution, cloning, and radiation. This area has no contact with the outside, and access is prohibited. State agency Southern Reach has sent several expeditions that have failed. By suicide of its members, they have gone mad in the last expedition, which gives us doubts about the mission itself.  This is the twelth expedition that is sent after 2 years, and 4 women are a biologist, an anthropologist, a psychologist, and a surveyor-- the biologist being the one to narrate the book. Her husband participated in the previous expedition and returned without any memory of what had happened t...
